Welden & Coluccio Lawyers is thrilled to announce its gold sponsorship of Ice Factor.
Ice Factor is a life skills program, originally founded in 2005 to assist ‘at risk’, disengaged or disadvantaged teenagers identified by high schools. With ice hockey as a focus, the students are mentored; improving literacy and numeracy abilities while developing skills to foster leadership, respect, humility and ambition. Currently 18 high schools and 300 students are involved. Since the program was established more than 2,000 lives have been changed.
A biannual event, the Ice Factor Spectacular, is held in an effort to raise funds and promote awareness of this program. The event, hosted by Mark Holden and Cherylee Harris is celebrated on the 16th September 2016 with a gala dinner culminating in a fashion parade. Funds generated at the event will enable each participant of the program to purchase their own ice skates and ensure the continued success of the program.
